From the first light of morning to the final dance beneath the stars, every moment at The Rose Barn is made to be savoured. Our country estate sits on a working farm in the Eastern Cape countryside, a collection of distinct spaces, each with its own character, from the garden grove to the rustic barn dressed in crystal.

Our curated collection of décor is yours to draw on, with no detail overlooked: elegant tableware, delicate napkins in white or stone, vintage barrels, a graceful arch and accents that speak to your style. We take care of the setup and clearing, so you can simply savour the beauty of the day.

Behind every wedding is a close and experienced team who know every moment of the day by heart, and who care about yours as if it were their own.

The Barn

Rustic roots. Chandelier dreams

The Rose Barn was not just built to be a wedding venue. It was built with honest hands and weathered wood. We just added the magic.

Inside, the barn is wrapped in glowing chandeliers and a thousand warm fairy lights. Outside, the doors open wide to the hills, the river that leads to the ocean and the famous Eastern Cape sunsets.

The Rose Barn is a five-star wedding venue with four-star accommodation: fourteen rooms where the people you love can stay close to the celebration. It is why so many guests who arrive on Friday stay on until Sunday.

    The estate opens to you

    Florists, stylists and your coordinator arrive, with the whole morning to bring your vision to life before a single guest steps onto the estate.

    The doors open

    Your celebration begins. The bride settles into the Bridal Emporium and the groom’s party into the Groom’s Cottage, with drinks provided for each party to enjoy at their own pace, and time to simply savour the morning.

    The ceremony

    The estate offers a choice of ceremony spaces: the garden grove, the tented chapel and the lower river deck. Wherever you say your vows, it is the moment everything slows down.
